Follow these steps to ensure your advertisement is published when you want and how you want. The relative deadlines are in parenthesis. Should you have any questions, please call The Horizon at 718-681-1549.
1. Decide how much you want to spend
2. Pick an ad size
Based on the amount you’re able to spend, decide what size you’d like your advertisement to be. Use the chart at right to help.
3. Decide how long you want the ad to run and if any discounts apply
We offer discounts for 6, 12 and 24 consecutive insertions.
4. Write out what you want the ad to say and how you want it to look
Or, if you have a graphic designer who can design the advertisement for you, this would be he time to begin building your advertisement.
5. Call the Horizon
Ask to speak with an advertising representative, be ready to provide all of the information listed above, plus your name, address, phone and fax number. A signed contract will be faxed to you.
6. Sign the contract and fax it back to (718) 681-8868 (14 days prior)
When we receive your signed contract, your ad space is officially reserved. We are obligated to provide it to you and you are obligated to pay for it, even if you fail to follow through by providing your advertisement.
7. Send us your advertisement (12 days prior)
8. We design your advertisement and, if possible, fax it to you for approval (6 days prior)
If you do not like the advertisement we design, indicate what changes you’d like made and send it back to us. We will do everything possible to make the ad what you want. If you do like the ad, call and let us know. We will begin translating the ad into Spanish.
9. The paper is published
10. We mail you an invoice and tearsheet
11. Promptly remit a check in the amount specified on the invoice
We expect to receive full payment within three to four weeks of publication, as specified on the invoice.
