On Thursday, Feb. 9, the students of the Get and Give program voted for the first student council at the after-school. There were 17 candidates: three for president, two for vice president, two for secretary, two for treasurer and eight for board member. They were: Bridget Adarkwa, Carmen Ramirez and Jean Carlos Suarez running for president; Tempestt Tucker and Diamond Graham running for vice president; Amanda Rivera and Jennifer Yeboah running for secretary; Steven Arce and Sabrina Martinez running for treasurer; and, Hassler Saavedra, Steven Caraballo, Jaelen Brown, Favio Ildefonso, Brian Capellan, Norma Cruz, Juana Pedro, Emelyn Ruiz and Christopher Bates for board member. The council has a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer and three board members. The students for the 1st to 3rd grade also elected a council.
