The 8th Annual BAAD! A** Women Festival 2008 – Presented by the Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance, the BAAD! A** Women Festival will be celebrating the empowerment of women using different forms of art. The festival starts at 8:00pm and will be held at 841 Barretto Street. Admission is $20. For groups of five who call ahead of time, the cost will be $5 each. Highbridge Library Community Council –Meeting at P.S. 126, 175 West 166th Street, at 4:00pm. The council will be discussing library- related topics at this meeting and is welcoming any community member to join the meeting.
Saturday, March 15
Family Affair: The Art of Togetherness – The Bronx Museum will be having an intergenerational workshop that looks at and discusses the three different exhibits in the museum. There will be guided tours, music, and snacks from 1:00pm-3:00pm. The event is covered by the general admission: $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children.

District 16 Coalition Against Hunger Neighborhood Network – At 11:00am, the Coalition will be meeting in Councilmember Foster’s district office, 1377 Jerome Avenue. Open to the public.
Sunday March 30
1) Bridge Builders, Living Mission Ministries, NY FAMLI and Wedded Bliss Foundation, Inc., will present the Sixth Annual Black Marriage Day celebration honoring “Our Sacred Vows”. Wedded Bliss Foundation’s goal is to have 5,000 couples across the country renew their wedding vows on Sunday, March 30, 2008, with the theme: Getting Married is Good; Staying Married is Better; A Healthy Marriage is Best.
Bridge Builders, Living Mission Ministries and NY FAMLI will join activists in more than 200 cities around the country to highlight the benefits of married life and offer celebrations to strengthen and promote marriage in Highbridge community.
